Trusting your Instinct

Play the Video Clip then Read Below:

The opposite of Chaos isn’t Calm.

The opposite of Chaos is Trust. Trust in yourself.

Trust your instincts.

Think of it like taking your shadow with you everywhere you go.  Your shadow is an extension of you. The shadow cast by your very being. It moves when you move. Plays when you play.

It stops when you stop.

Take a moment with some well-chosen words:

Stream of Consciousness

I took my shadow to the

Stream of Consciousness.

I said to my shadow

'What will become of me?'

'You can be the person you want to be', said the shadow

'But who is that?' I asked

It is YOU, just YOU and only YOU!

'Does that feel a little lonely?' said the shadow.

'NO' I said ...

It feels truly

MAGNIFICENT!

Life has sped up.

A never-ending stream of stimuli is vying for your attention every minute of the day. (After following the 'vying for attention' link, check out my previous blog about Longevity and 'Why Your Ordinary is Extraordinary').

Some of this stimulus is fabulous and some of it is time-wasting.

So how do you decipher how to spend your time?

By facing your own reality, which is down to you and to realise the power that lies in the decisions you make. It helps to learn from those who have walked the path before you; from those who have made the right decisions and have the wisdom that comes from a life well-lived, as discussed in one of my earlier blogs about finding your balance and cultivating calm.

In essence, while calm might be a desirable state, it's trust that provides the foundation for navigating and even thriving in the face of chaos.

I’m keeping this blog post brief as it’s worth following the links contained within the text and then allowing them to percolate!

Then when you’re ready, return to this page and create your own ‘Could do List’ for the week ahead.

See if you can come up with 5 things that might shake you out of complacency and help you to feel more alive. I’ll start you off …

  1. try a different radio station
  2. start a journal
  3. step outside next time the sunset is glorious!

Go ahead, it’s your turn now. Trust yourself. Trust your instincts. You have it within you to change things up a little and what better time to start than now.
